This notice explains how Fellside (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you browse this site, create an account, buy a print, or contact the studio. It is written for UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who is responsible
Fellside is the controller for personal data collected through this website and print shop.
Trading address and company details will be confirmed before live trading.
Contact for privacy questions: the studio contact address on this site.
What we collect
Account details such as name, email address, and password (handled by our authentication provider).
Order and delivery details: billing and shipping address, phone if provided, items purchased, amounts, and payment status.
Payment card data is processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Messages you send via the contact form, and related metadata needed to respond.
Technical data required to run the shop: session cookies, basket token, and (only if you accept) optional analytics events such as photograph views and checkout steps.
Why we use your data
To fulfil contracts: process orders, take payment, arrange delivery, and provide customer service.
To meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting records.
With your consent: optional analytics cookies. You can refuse analytics and still use the shop.
Transactional emails (order confirmation, dispatch, delivery, review invitation) do not require marketing consent. Marketing messages, if offered later, will be opt-in and separate.
Who we share data with
Infrastructure and processors that help us run the service, including hosting, database/auth, payment (Stripe), email delivery, and (when enabled) the courier for labels and tracking.
We do not sell your personal data. Processors act on our instructions under appropriate contracts.
How long we keep data
Order and invoice-related records are kept for as long as needed for fulfilment, returns, and legal retention (typically up to six years for accounting).
Account data is kept while your account remains active; you may request deletion subject to legal retention.
Contact enquiries are kept long enough to respond and for a short operational history.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing, where applicable under UK GDPR.
To exercise these rights, email the studio contact address on this site. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with our response.
International transfers
Some processors may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
This is a launch-ready draft. Have it reviewed against your final trading entity, processors, and privacy practices before relying on it for live sales.
We use optional analytics cookies to understand which photographs and prints people view. Essential cookies keep the basket and sign-in working. See the cookie notice.
